KAFU – “DEMEY”: Practical Work of Psychology Students

On October 27, 2023, 2nd year students of the EP “Psychology”, under the guidance of Senior Lecturer of the department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Elizaveta T. Katanova, conducted an extracurricular lesson at the “DEMEY” rehabilitation and correction center.

The students were able to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice in the discipline “Psychophysiology”. They used the psychological techniques, conducted the training and games to improve motor skills. Thus, the students saw the essence of the practical work of a psychologist for special children.

During their visit, KAFU students supported the parents and children, raised the motivation of parents, and showed psychophysiological exercises as part of the training, which can be performed at home.

The administration of the rehabilitation center “DEMEY”, parents and children were well impressed, having received psychological help from the young specialists of KAFU.
