KAFU Lecturer Spoke at the Regional Forum of Educational Psychologists in East Kazakhstan.
On December 19, 2025, Irina A. Fedorova, senior lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, participated as a speaker in the regional forum of educational psychologists from educational organizations, “Innovative Practices in the Activities of Psychological Services,” dedicated to Psychologist Day in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The forum was organized by the Regional Center for Psychological Support and Assistance of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department.
As part of the event, the speaker delivered a report, “Potentials of Formal and Informal Education through the Prism of the Experience of the Kazakh-American Free University,” in which she focused on the integration of formal (academic) and informal (practice-oriented) education as a key condition for the professional development of modern psychologists.
The forum brought together specialists from all districts of the region, providing an opportunity to discuss current trends and challenges facing psychological services in the education system. Such events not only facilitate the exchange of professional experience and knowledge but also foster sustainable professional communications and business relationships. The participation of a university faculty member in such a significant regional event underscores the recognition of the expert status of KAFU specialists and their contribution to the development of the region’s human resources, and also strengthens the university’s partnerships with practicing psychologists and educational organizations in the East Kazakhstan Region.
