KAFU Student Becomes the Champion of the Kazakhstan Youth Cross-Country Skiing Championship
From February 6 to 12, 2026, the Kazakhstan Youth Cross-Country Skiing Championship was held in Ridder. The country’s strongest young athletes participated in the competition, demonstrating a high level of training and a desire to win.
Issabek Iliyas, a third-year student in the Physical Education and Sports program at KAFU, took first place, confirming his high athletic potential and skill.
Issabek Iliyas is a third-year student at the Kazakh-American Free University and a talented skier who has demonstrated outstanding results in sports. Before enrolling at KAFU, he studied at the Ridder Republican Specialized Boarding School-College of Olympic Reserve, where his professional development began. His athletic potential and drive for success led him to choose KAFU as the university for his further education and development. We are proud of such a student and are confident that his athletic achievements will continue to inspire others to success!
