KAFU Student Successfully Competes at the Kazakhstan Alpine Skiing Championships.

From March 17 to 22, 2026, the Kazakhstan Alpine Skiing Championships and Youth Championships were held at the Edelweiss Ski Resort (Ridder, Kazakhstan).

Following the competition, Valeria Kvach, a first-year student in the Physical Education and Sports program, demonstrated a high level of preparation and impressive results:

GS (giant slalom) – 1st place;

SG (super-giant) – 2nd place;

SL (slalom) – 3rd place.

Valeria is a graduate of School-Gymnasium No. 12 of the Ust-Kamenogorsk, and also a student of the East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Children’s and Youth School of Olympic Reserve in Winter Sports of the East Kazakhstan Region Department of Physical Culture and Sports.

The systematic training she received at the specialized school of Olympic reserve played a significant role in her achievements. The conditions created for developing athletic skills, professional coaching, and comprehensive support contributed to the athlete’s strong competitive motivation and high level of technical preparation.
