Kazakh-American Free University — Winner in the “Best IT Project” Category
On December 12, 2025, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, within the framework of CREATIVE IT FORUM 2025, the Kazakh-American Free University took part in an exhibition of digital solutions that brought together more than 30 IT projects in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
As part of the forum, the university presented the VKO SmartControl AI project — a complex of interconnected artificial intelligence–based solutions developed by the Kazakh-American Free University to address key challenges in digital governance, education, and financial security.
The project is part of KAFU’s AI ecosystem and includes four practice-oriented solutions:
- KAFU AI-Ustaz — an intelligent assistant for instructors designed to automate the educational process;
- KAFU AI-Talapker — a digital navigator for prospective students with online application submission and inclusive features powered by local AI;
- VKO SmartControl AI — a regional analytical platform for AI-based analysis of public procurement and environmental monitoring;
- FishEye — an anti-fraud system for identifying financial risks and anomalies.
Following the forum, the Kazakh-American Free University’s project received high praise from the expert community and was awarded the “Best IT Project” nomination.
