“Law and Order”: Introducing Students to Law Enforcement

On January 28, 2026, the Department of Police of the East Kazakhstan Region, in cooperation with the Kazakh-American Free University, held an event as part of the “Zań men tärtıp” (“Law and Order”) ideology, aimed at introducing students to the work of law enforcement agencies.

During the event, students were given a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse activities of law enforcement bodies. The program included a demonstration of police equipment, including firearms, exhibits from a forensic laboratory, the operation of the “Sergek” video surveillance system, as well as examples of narcotic substances and stash methods. In addition, the work of the department and its achievements over the years of service were presented.

Police officers also conducted a self-defense master class, demonstrating effective personal protection techniques.

High-ranking guests took part in the event, including the Chief of Police, Colonel Marat Bayandinov, and his Deputy, Major Dauren Balykshynov. They spoke about the daily work of police officers and conducted an engaging quiz for the students.

The event became an important step toward strengthening mutual understanding between young people and law enforcement agencies, as well as educating students on the fundamentals of law, order, and public safety.
