Meeting of the Expanded Academic Council of KAFU

On March 19, 2025, a meeting of the expanded Academic Council was held at the Kazakh-American Free University, where key areas of the university’s development were discussed.

During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the KAFU Strategic Development Plan for 2024 were summed up, and tasks for 2025 were outlined. The report was made by the First Vice President of KAFU, PhD Zhassulan Y. Baikenov .

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the development of the American program at the university. Vice President for International Programs and Cooperation Daniel Ballast presented an analysis of the current state and recommendations for further development.

A report was also heard on the implementation of the scientific project of grant funding from the IRN AP19680677 “Economic and Demographic Development of Kazakhstan: Gender Aspect”. The report was made by KAFU research professor, PhD in Economics, scientific director of the project Aizhan A. Mukhamadieva.

Another important topic of the meeting was the strategic guidelines for digital transformation and improvement of educational processes. The information was presented by the director of the Center for Information Support and Digital Educational Technologies Yulia V. Trofimova.

The meeting discussed the problems and prospects for the development of the KAFU Higher College and the Ust-Kamenogorsk College of Economics and Technology, which were discussed by the directors of the colleges Marina I. Kikina and Yersain A. Nabiyev.

At the end of the meeting, the President of KAFU, Academician of the NAS RK Yerezhep A. Mambetkaziyev made a closing speech, emphasizing the strategic importance of the discussed issues for the further development of the university.

KAFU continues its active development, strengthening its educational and scientific positions, as well as introducing innovative approaches to the educational process.
