Nauryz is a holiday of spring, renewal and prosperity. Since the ancient times, Turkic-speaking peoples have been celebrating it for 10 days, where each designated day has its own sacred meaning.

On March 14, 2024, at Higher College of the Kazakh-American Free University, a day of greeting and expression of respect to elders – “Korisu kuni”, as well as the first celebration of the onset of spring was held. Translated from the Kazakh language, literally “korisu” means “to meet” or “meeting”. On this day, it is customary to visit each other and congratulate each other on the arrival of spring.
