Open House & Welcome Day at KAFU: Day Three
On January 14, 2026, the Kazakhstan-American Free University hosted the third day of the Open House & Welcome Day event for high school graduates from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The third day continued the career guidance format aimed at supporting students in making a conscious and informed choice of their future educational pathway. Once again, the event was held as an interactive journey through the university, during which school students consecutively visited KAFU’s thematic stations. Each station showcased specific fields of study, academic programs, and various aspects of student life.
At the stations, participants attended brief yet informative mini-lectures, engaged in live communication with faculty members and students, and took part in practical tasks, quests, and interactive activities. This approach allowed students not only to learn about the university but also to try themselves in different roles, ask questions directly, and gain a deeper understanding of the academic environment.
The third day of Open House & Welcome Day helped graduates form a comprehensive view of the educational opportunities at KAFU, its educational philosophy, and its atmosphere. For many students, participation in the event became an important step toward making a thoughtful and well-informed decision about their future studies and choice of university.
