Open training session at KAFU in honor of the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan

On April 29, 2024, a solemn training session on the history of Kazakhstan was held, dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.

May 1 – Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, is a symbol of friendship and harmony between the country’s various ethnic groups, as well as a holiday of Kazakh patriotism and devotion to the Motherland.

First-year students of the American and Kazakhstani educational programs presented the traditions, customs and identity of various ethnic groups of the country in a bright and festive atmosphere. Students used modern information technologies to draw attention to the richness of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, including Kazakh, Russian, Tatar, German, Ukrainian, Dungan and other ethnic groups. During the event, they talked about traditional customs, culinary preferences, historical events and other aspects of life of different cultures.

“This was not only a celebration of the cultural diversity of our country, but also an important step towards strengthening mutual understanding and solidarity between different ethnic groups,” noted the moderator of the event, Ph.D., senior lecturer of the Department of Law and International Relations L.P. Turova .

The event at the Kazakh-American Free University was not only a vivid embodiment of the holiday, but also an important step towards strengthening unity and diversity in Kazakh society.
