On April 12, on the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the plenary session of the XIV International Forum of Young Scientists “Modern Scientific Directions: from Applied Research to Innovation” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. It became a key event in the series of Forum events dedicated to this significant date for the Kazakh scientific community.
The International Forum of Young Scientists has been held at KAFU for 14 years. During this time, it has become not only a scientific platform in the field of social and economic sciences, where young scientists can present the best research works, but also an event of international scale, in which representatives of foreign scientific circles annually take part.
The plenary sessions of the forum discuss a wide range of current scientific issues. This year, young scientists from the university presented a number of thematic reports on relevant topics covering a new, actively developing area of research in the field of artificial intelligence. In particular, the focus of the plenary session participants was on the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process.
The President of KAFU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erezhep A. Mambetkaziev addressed the participants of the plenary session with a welcoming speech. He noted that in the modern world, the large-scale influence of artificial intelligence on all spheres of life is already undeniable. This is why the topic of using AI in various fields, including education and science, is so relevant today.
The reports on this topic presented at the plenary session aroused keen interest among its participants, and most importantly, made it possible to identify the possibilities and problems of using artificial intelligence technologies and assess the prospects of their use.
Students of the educational program “Russian Language and Literature” Amalia Bubnova and Daria Spryagailo spoke about the opportunities offered by the use of AI in teaching. The report on the topic: “Artificial Intelligence in Philology” was prepared under the guidance of Senior Lecturer Natalya A. Moshenskaya.
