Practical Lesson on the Topic “Family Counseling”

On December 06, 2023, 3rd year students of the EP “Psychology” within the discipline “Fundamentals of Psychological Counseling”, held a meeting with an invited practical psychologist-consultant, Gestalt therapist Tatyana Sorokina. Our guest conducted a practical lesson on the topic “Family Counseling”.

Family counseling is a targeted psychological impact on the family and its members with the aim of restoring, optimizing its functioning and improving relationships between its members, creating favorable intra-family conditions for the development of the family and its members.

During the session, a demo version of couple counseling was demonstrated using the integration of Gestalt therapy and systemic family therapy methods, followed by an emotional response from the group.
