Regional in East Kazakhstan Region: “Law and Order. Shadow Economy: Challenges and Solutions”

On December 13, 2024, the regional forum “Law and Order. Shadow Economy: Challenges and Solutions” was held in the East Kazakhstan region, which became a key platform for discussing current issues affecting the economic security of Kazakhstan.

The forum was opened by the Akim of the East Kazakhstan region, Yermek B. Kosherbayev. In his speech, he focused on the importance of solving such problems as gambling addiction, financial pyramids and the shadow economy, noting their negative impact on the sustainable development of society.

The head of the Department of Economic Investigations of the East Kazakhstan region, Aidyn K. Moldabekov, presented the results of the Financial Monitoring Agency’s work to the forum participants, emphasizing the importance of coordinated actions in the fight against economic threats.

Particular attention was drawn to the awarding of the students of the KAFU team, who won first place in the intellectual competition “Erudite”. Their success became an inspiring example for young people.

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Natalia P. Urazova was awarded for her significant contribution to the development of economic security and increasing the financial literacy of the population. Her educational and outreach activities were recognized with a well-deserved award.

The forum became an effective platform for exchanging ideas, forming new initiatives and developing solutions aimed at strengthening economic stability and combating the shadow economy.
