Regional IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENI”
Within the framework of the state program “Digital Kazakhstan”, according to the action plan of the East Kazakhstan Regional Center for New Technologies in Education of the Educational Establishment of the East Kazakhstan Region, as well as together with the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region, on November 3-4, 2022, the regional IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENI” was held in order to create innovative solutions for the region, increasing the interest and involvement of young people in education in the field of information technology and the development of IT skills, the formation of highly qualified personnel in the IT field among schoolchildren, college students in the East Kazakhstan region and regional universities.
IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENI” was held with the aim of attracting schoolchildren, college and university students to create prototypes of public innovative applications and services to improve the efficiency of education, the comfort of living and the safety of citizens.
This event was attended by 31 teams of schoolchildren, college students of the East Kazakhstan region and regional universities. The participants in the first team were students of the EP “Information Systems” of the Kazakh-American Free University Vasipyonok V., Dynnik I. and in the second team: students of the EP “Information Systems” Fedotov D., Gorin I. and Khasenov A.
Within two days, it was proposed to develop a decision-making system in the format of a mobile application / Internet platform, using artificial intelligence technologies to ensure the security of educational organizations in the event of a terrorist threat, or another digital product to solve the problems of organizing anti-terrorist protection in educational organizations in the event of an attack from using the equipment installed in the building: video surveillance system, turnstiles, panic buttons, voice notification, alarm.
According to the results of the IT hackathon “ŞYĞYS ÖRKENI”, the KAFU team took the second place – Vladislav Vasipyonok and Ilya Dynnik.
