The Kazakh-American Free University announces the holding of a regional Poster Competition “Kazakh-American Free University: past, present, future”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university.

APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE REGIONAL POSTER COMPETITION “KAZAKH-AMERICAN FREE UNIVERSITY: PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE”
Last name, first name, patronymic of the participant, full name of the educational institution, class (course).
Information about the teacher or teacher who prepared the participant – full name.
Title of the poster (for example, “Image of KAFU in the international arena”, “History of KAFU”, “Continuity of education – facets of KAFU”, etc.) PLEASE DO NOT TAKE NAMES FROM OUR EXAMPLES
Contact information (postal address of the institution where the Competition participant studies or works, e-mail, telephone numbers of the participant and his supervisors (current active numbers).
This application is sent ONLY to the email address tanya_levina@mail.ru no later than April 8, 2024 (before 15-00).

Conditions of the competition
By Poster, the organizers of the competition mean an artistically designed poster used for educational purposes and to express the idea stated in the competition “Kazakh-American Free University: Past, Present, Future”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university.
Participants are asked to visually express a known or new story about KASU in a single image. Any questions, contemporary or historical, that show our university in one aspect of its educational, international or cultural activities are welcome.
The poster (computer image) must be vertical (portrait format), saved as .jpg, .png or .gif. .pdf format is also accepted.
Evaluation criteria and format for project defense
When assessing, the jury takes into account the following criteria:
general project logic,
quality of photographs and text,
author’s originality,
compliance with the theme of the competition and the theme of its own name,
when defending – oratory and the ability to defend your project (no more than 5 minutes are allotted for defense).

Students in grades 10 or 11 from schools in the city and region, as well as first-year college students are invited to participate in the competition. One participant is accepted from one educational institution. Poster (Poster) can be in Kazakh and Russian languages.
In accordance with the approved program of the Competition, participants gain access to the event and show posters (Posters) at the Kazakh-American Free University and defend their project.

IMPORTANT! To participate in the competition, only an application is submitted. The poster (Poster) will be presented by participants on April 12, 2024 in person. The time will be indicated additionally, the approximate start is 14-00.
Competition materials are demonstrated by participants on the day of the competition in accordance with the program. The program is formed in accordance with submitted applications.

Based on the results of the Regional Poster Competition “Kazakh-American Free University: Past, Present, Future”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university, first, second and third places, as well as nominations, are established. The winners are awarded diplomas. The diploma will contain information about the supervisor who trained the winner. Participants are awarded certificates. Participation in the Regional Poster Competition “Kazakhstan-American Free University: Past, Present, Future”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university, is free.
