Regional Tournament of Business Projects “I am an Entrepreneur” among Schoolchildren and Students of Organizations of the Technical and Vocational Education System

Youth and business – these two concepts are inextricably linked today. It is young people today who generate new ideas for entrepreneurship, not afraid to take risks and start all over again each time.

Young people today have good prospects for engaging in entrepreneurial activity. This is due to the widespread focus on success among young people and the correspondence of the qualities of young people to the socio-psychological requirements of the market. This is initiative, mobility, courage, risk propensity, the ability to learn and retrain, openness to innovation and much more.

On April 21, 2025, the next regional tournament of business projects “I am an Entrepreneur” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University among schoolchildren and college students.

The organizers of the tournament are: the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” in East Kazakhstan Region, the Business Department of the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU), Ust-Kamenogorsk College of Economics and Technology (UK CET). The goal of the tournament is to identify and develop entrepreneurial initiatives of students of secondary schools and students of technical and vocational educational organizations of the region.

The tournament participants were schoolchildren and college students aged 14-20. Team (no more than 3 people) and individual forms of participation in the tournament were implied.

62 applications from 91 students were submitted to the competition.

The regional tournament was held in 10 areas:

1. Social entrepreneurship;

2. Trade;

3. Services;

4. Production;

5. Show, business, culture, creative industries;

6. Technological entrepreneurship and intelligent technologies (innovative high-tech idea);

7. Education, communications, information and digital technologies;

8. Medicine and health-saving technologies;

9. Tourism;

10. Ecology and resource-saving technologies.

Business projects were evaluated by a jury of experts:
