Republican Tourism Olympiad
From October 24-27, 2025, Medina M. Isanova, a first-year student in the Tourism program, participated in the 7th Republican Distance Learning Olympiad for first- to fourth-year university students majoring in Tourism, organized by the Inn & Science Asia Research and Educational Center.
The purpose of this Olympiad is to increase students’ interest and deepen their knowledge and skills in tourism. Participants included first- to fourth-year students majoring in Tourism.
The Olympiad consisted of two stages: Stage 1, a presentation, and Stage 2, open-ended questions and a case study. In the first round, Medina M. Isanova presented a presentation on the topic of “Tourism Development in the East Kazakhstan Region.” In the second round, she answered open-ended questions and solved a case study on the topic: “Tourism in the Age of Digital Transformation and Environmental Challenges.”
Medina M. Isanova, a student in the “Tourism” program, completed the Olympiad tasks with flying colors. She demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge in analyzing and solving cases for assessing management and marketing challenges in the tourism industry.
The Olympiad questions and tasks were completed under the guidance of A.E. Kaliyeva, a senior lecturer in the Business department. Based on the results of the Olympiad, Medina M. Isanova, a student in the “Tourism” program at the Kazakh-American Free University, was awarded a first-degree diploma.
