Sectional Sessions within the Framework of the XIV International Forum of Young Scientists of KAFU

On April 8, 2024, sectional sessions were held within the framework of the XIV International Forum of Young Scientists of KAFU. During their work, over 270 reports in nine areas were presented and discussed.

Young scientists shared their scientific findings, research results and practical achievements in relevant areas. The relevance of the issues discussed, the theoretical and applied focus of the reports contributed to lively and interested discussions, as well as an exchange of views in three languages.

Constructive discussions took place on issues of philology, journalism, pedagogy and psychology. Key issues of applied linguistics, issues of foreign languages ​​and teaching methods were touched upon. Current topics in the field of finance, economics, management and development of the tourism cluster were also considered.

In the Kazakh language, the work of the sections was carried out in two main areas: the development of the humanities and current legal issues in the context of social progress.

Students of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​presented their reports in three areas:

– Current issues of applied linguistics;

– Issues of foreign languages ​​and teaching methods (for undergraduate students);

– Postgraduate training (for master’s students);

Following the presentations, the section moderators determined the winners (1st–3rd places) in each category:

– Current Issues in Applied Linguistics:

1st place – Pashova L., 2nd-year student of the educational program “Translation Studies” at KAFU;

2nd place – Savushkina K., Lazovskaya V. – Higher College of KAFU;

3rd place – Burnashova A.A., 2nd-year student of the educational program “Translation Studies”.

– Issues of foreign Languages ​​and Teaching Methods:

1st place – Strebkova T.A., 4th-year student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages ​​(English)”;

2nd place – Nartaykyzy M., 4th-year student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages ​​(English)”;

3rd place – Malysheva V., 3rd year student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages ​​(English)” after college.

– Postgraduate training:

1st place –Palkin A.V., 1st year Master’s student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”;

2nd place – I.S. Pyatova, 2nd year Master’s student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”;

3rd place – A.D. Olyunina, 1st year Master’s student of the educational program “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”.
