Seminar at Baskent University

The seminar’s topic was “Emotive Syntax in Youth Speech: Communicative-Pragmatic Aspects.” The lecturer introduced the participants to the specifics of a new field in linguistics and shared her experience in choosing a research topic.

The seminar was attended by the head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, faculty, and students at Baskent University. Research fellows and young researchers from the Akhmet Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics also attended as guests. Following the lecture, a discussion of the topic took place.

Finally, Nursulu K. Turgumbayeva conducted a survey among Baskent University students, collecting the first empirical data for her doctoral dissertation. Such events not only contribute to the development of language research, but also strengthen partnerships and the exchange of experience between educational institutions of the two countries.
