Seminar “Brain-Friendly Activities for the English Classroom”

On April 21 and 28, 2023, a seminar by certified English teacher Kathleen Hyde (Portland, Oregon, USA) on the topic “Brain-Friendly Activities for the English Classroom” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University.

The seminar was intended for teachers of English working with middle and senior students and was devoted to the methodology for developing tasks for active interaction in the classroom. Such “reasonable” tasks are developed taking into account the peculiarities of the functioning of various parts of the brain and provide the greatest efficiency in the development of educational material. The participants of the seminar got acquainted with the technology of preparing such tasks and discussed the possibilities of their use at different levels of teaching a foreign language.
