Seminar for KAFU Teachers “Teaching Economic Disciplines Based on Quality Management Principles”

This year, the Kazakh-American Free University celebrates its 30th anniversary. As part of the celebration of this event, the university hosts many large-scale events. On September 24, 2024, a seminar was held on the topic: “Teaching Economic Disciplines Based on Quality Management Principles.” It was conducted by Steve Parscale, Director of Accreditation, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Overland Park, Kansas, USA. The seminar was attended by teachers from KAFU and D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.

At the seminar, Steve Parscale spoke about the Baldrige quality management system in the field of education, emphasizing that advanced proven management methods have proven their effectiveness. “It is important for me to share this information with you, thanks to which you will be able to improve your teaching methods, increase the effectiveness of student learning and the quality of their knowledge, and most importantly, graduate real professionals who will contribute to the development of their city and country,” emphasized Steve Parscale.

The speaker also cited the results of other universities that have applied the Baldrige quality management system in teaching their students. According to him, the graduate employment rate was 98% and higher, and 99% of the employers surveyed rated these graduates as well prepared.

The seminar was held in the form of an open dialogue. KAFU teachers asked many interesting and clarifying questions, to which they received detailed answers. The information received opened up a wide range of opportunities for teachers to teach students, which will significantly improve the effectiveness of teaching and the quality of education.
