Seminar on Functional Grammar of the Kazakh Language Held at KAFU
On April 11, a seminar on “Functional Grammar of the Kazakh Language: Structure and Usage” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University as part of the XV Forum of Young Scientists. The event was organized for students and master’s students of the educational programs “Kazakh Language and Literature”. Students of the educational program “Journalism” also took part in the seminar.
The speaker was Nursulu K. Turgumbayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology. In the first part of the seminar, she gave a lecture in which she covered the key aspects of functional grammar based on a paradigm and focused on practical application. Particular attention was paid to functional-semantic categories and the significance of grammatical structures in various languages.
In the second part of the seminar, students took part in an interactive practical task in the auction format. Participants answered questions, discovered new information and consolidated existing knowledge.
The seminar became an important platform for deepening students’ knowledge in the field of Kazakh grammar and its practical application.
