Silver in Volleyball and Archery: KAFU Students Proudly Represented the University at the “Big Assembly Student Games”!

On March 20, 2026, in Öskemen, at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center, the closing ceremony of the “Big Assembly Student Games” took place. The team of the Kazakhstan-American Free University (KAFU) showcased excellent physical fitness, team spirit, and determination to win while competing against teams from six other educational institutions in the city.

The large-scale competition, organized by the “Assembly of Youth” movement with the support of the House of Friendship, became a true celebration of youth unity. Over several days, participants demonstrated not only their sporting achievements but also intelligence, cohesion, and deep respect for the culture and traditions of various ethnic groups in Kazakhstan.

We are proud to share the results of KAFU students, who added honorable awards to the university’s collection of sports achievements:

  • Our amazing women’s volleyball team took 2nd place in intense competition!
  • Nurasyl Nurbekov secured 2nd place in the traditional archery contest “Mergen,” demonstrating strong skill and incredible accuracy!

For KAFU, participation in the “Big Assembly Student Games” is more than just a competition. It is a platform where our students show their strength of spirit, ability to make friends, and work together toward a common goal. Initiatives like this, and youth like ours, shape the bright future of our country.

We congratulate our prize-winners and express gratitude to every student who defended the university’s honor. We are proud of your perseverance and drive to win! Onward—to new heights!
