Students Meet with Practicing Investigators

On February 24, 2026, a career guidance meeting was held for second-year students majoring in Jurisprudence and Law and Law Enforcement, with the participation of officers from the Ust-Kamenogorsk Police Department.

Senior Police Lieutenant R.M. Maratov, a senior investigator with the Ulba Police Department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Police Department (a 2023 graduate of the Kazakh-American Free University), and Police Lieutenant E.E. Tolebayev, an investigator from the same department, addressed the students.

During the meeting, law enforcement officers provided a detailed explanation of the professional work of an investigator, the specifics of criminal investigation, the requirements for candidates applying for law enforcement service, the conditions of service in law enforcement, career prospects, and social benefits. Special attention was paid to issues of professional ethics, investigator responsibility, and the importance of practical skills in the training of future lawyers. The students showed great interest in the topic, actively asking questions about employment procedures, internships, opportunities for professional growth, and current challenges in investigative departments. At the end of the meeting, the guests wished the future specialists success in their studies and emphasized the importance of high-quality legal training for effectively protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens.
