The 1st Regional Reciters’ Competition was held at KAFU
On March 31, 2025, the 1st Regional Reciters’ Competition was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. Schoolchildren and students from various educational institutions of the East Kazakhstan region took part in it.
The competition was opened by the speech of the Advisor to the Rector of KAFU, the Chairman of the Jury Natalia A. Nesterenko.
The jury included:
Aigerim B. Abylgazinova – teacher of Russian language and literature, head teacher for academic work of “Secondary School No. 18”;
Nursulu K. Turgumbaeva – senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of KAFU;
Akkerke T. Zhamsap – lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of KAFU;
Darya V. Dedova– teacher of secondary school #14, teacher of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of KAFU;
Natalya A. Moshenskaya – senior teacher of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of KAFU.
The participants of the competition presented works by Kazakhstani and regional authors, such as Pavel Vassilyev, Kalkaman Sarin, Tolegen Rakymzhanov, Tumanbay Moldagaliev, as well as their own poems. The topics of the presentations covered themes of love for the native land, cultural identity, teaching and the nature of East Kazakhstan.
Following the results of the competition, the winners were awarded diplomas and letters of thanks. The competition was organized with the aim of supporting literary creativity among young people, developing expressive reading skills and popularizing regional poetry.
