The Choice of the Strong: Say “NO” to Drugs

Using a live demonstration, DEA officers demonstrated to students how individuals possessing and distributing illegal substances are identified and apprehended in practice. The lead role in the performance was played by Sergey Vanin, a third-year student in the «Finance» program, who readily assumed the responsible role of the “offender” for the educational purpose. His participation made the demonstration as realistic and emotionally engaging as possible.

According to the scenario, DEA officers identified the “suspect” and carried out the arrest right during the lecture. First-year students, who were not warned about the performance, experienced everything as realistically as possible—from the operational work to the arrest itself. This presentation generated a storm of emotion, making the problem of drug-related crimes visible and tangible, showing the real consequences of illegal activities.

The organizers emphasized that the goal of the event was not to frighten, but to convey to students the seriousness of the choice everyone faces. Quitting drugs is not just a personal decision; it is a choice for health, safety, and the future.

We express special gratitude to Sergey Vanin for his courage and contribution to prevention efforts!
