Ust-Kamenogorsk Mayor Visits KAFU

On March 6, 2026, the Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Akyshev Almat Talgatovich, paid an official visit to the Kazakhstan-American Free University.

During the visit, the city’s mayor inspected the progress of construction at the new KAFU campus building, which will become an important addition to the university’s infrastructure. After the official meeting with KAFU President Mambetkaziev Erezhep Alkhairovich, the key part of the visit took place — an open dialogue with students. University leadership and international guests also participated in the discussion.

During the lively conversation, students and the Akim discussed a wide range of issues concerning city life, including plans for the improvement of Ust-Kamenogorsk and the resolution of pressing social problems. Concluding the meeting, the Akim emphasized the importance of student initiatives in shaping the modern appearance of the city.
