Video Podcast Competition“Law is the Foundation of Order”
On February 20, 2026, as part of the state program “Law and Order,” the Kazakh-American Free University held its first video podcast competition, “Law is the Foundation of Order,” for 10-11th graders.
The competition aims to increase students’ interest in law and social sciences, develop public speaking skills, critical and creative thinking, and promote English as a language of academic and public communication, as well as foster a legal culture.
The competition was held in three categories: “Law and Everyday Life,” “Weird, Absurd, and Unusual Laws,” and “Law and Youth / Law in the Digital World.” Participants presented video podcasts on a chosen topic individually, in pairs, or in groups.
Forty-six students of 10-11th grades from 17 schools in the region, including 12 city and five district general education institutions, participated in the event. These included three gymnasiums and lyceums. Following the competition, the best works were awarded certificates and prizes (first through third). The schools that won the audience vote were also selected separately. The winners in this category were chosen by first-year KAFU students who attended the competition.
Winners:
Category “Law and Everyday Life”:
1st place – Comprehensive school №2;
2nd place – Oralkhan Bokey Lyceum № 44;
3rd place – Secondary school №13».
Category “Weird, Absurd and Unusual Laws”:
1st place – Secondary school №7» and School-gymnasium № 10;
2nd place – Shakarim secondary school №1;
3rd place – School-lyceum of Altay city.
Category “Law and Youth / Law in the Digital World”:
1st place – Lev Gumilev Gymnasium №38;
2nd place – Comprehensive school №47;
3rd place – Kozhokhovo secondary school.
The winners of the audience vote were Secondary Multidisciplinary School № 37, Oralkhan Bokey Lyceum № 44, and Comprehensive School № 2.
