Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

From May 3 to May 5, 2023, Robert Kirnag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan visited the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk as part of a working visit.

The main purpose of the visit was to expand and strengthen economic and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Slovakia. As part of the program of the visit, the Ambassador got acquainted with the city, and gave a lecture at the Kazakh-American Free University for school leavers of the city, students and teachers of colleges and universities on the topic “Relations between Slovakia and Kazakhstan. Foreign Policy of Slovakia and the Role of Small States in International Politics”, visited the Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic, the Higher College of the Kazakh-American Free University and Museum of the Ulba Metallurgical Plant.

During the visit, opportunities for strengthening cooperation in education and culture were discussed. This visit was an essential step in developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Slovakia and contributed to the further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
