Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 7, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ms. Monika Iversen, visited the Kazakh-American Free University.

At the meeting, the President of KAFU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Yerezhep A. Mambetkaziev emphasized the fruitful history of the university’s relations with German universities, organizations and companies, and also expressed gratitude to the embassy for supporting joint projects with German partners.

The main partners of KAFU are the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences, the Nuremberg Technical University, the Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan, and the German Academic Exchange Service.

One of KAFU’s significant achievements in the field of education and science was the launch of a double-degree master’s program in “IT Management” in partnership with the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences. KAFU teachers and students successfully complete internships and advanced training courses in Germany. In turn, scientists from German universities take an active part in the educational process, conferences and scientific projects of KAFU, including studying for doctoral studies at our university.
