Visit of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to KAFU

On December 9, 2023, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek visited the Kazakh-American Free University. During the visit, KAFU President Yerezhep A. Mambetkaziev, the first Minister of Education and Science of independent Kazakhstan, introduced the Minister to the material and technical facilities of the university, the main international and scientific projects, innovative areas, and their implementation in creative hubs and laboratories of KAFU.

The Minister paid special attention to the implementation of projects and innovations at KAFU aimed at the comprehensive development of science and education in the context of international cooperation: the start of the implementation of double-diploma postgraduate education in the field of “IT management” at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany), as well as numerous achievements of KAFU’s experience as a university of international cooperation on the world stage.

Sayasat Nurbek noted that the Ministry supports private universities that work on the quality of education and KAFU is such a university in East Kazakhstan.
