Visit of the Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Ust-Kamenogorsk to the Kazakh-American Free University
On December 5, 2025, Alexander A. Dyachenko, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Deputy Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Kazakhstan, and Director of the Russian House in Ust-Kamenogorsk, visited the Kazakh-American Free University.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the university’s leadership—KAFU President and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erezhep A. Mambetkaziyev. The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in science and higher education, including the implementation of joint educational projects and humanitarian cooperation initiatives.
Alexander A. Dyachenko gave a guest lecture for students of the Department of Law and International Relations. The topic of his presentation, “Development of Humanitarian Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan through the Institute of Public Diplomacy,” generated great interest among the students. The lecturer emphasized the key role of humanitarian ties in strengthening trust and mutual understanding between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of educational, cultural, and youth projects.
Rossotrudnichestvo programs aimed at expanding academic exchanges, supporting joint cultural initiatives, and developing ties between public organizations in the two countries were separately presented. According to Alexander A. Dyachenko, public diplomacy is an important tool for strengthening international relations at the level of professional and social communities.
At the end of the meeting, the speaker expressed gratitude to the university for the invitation and expressed its readiness for further cooperation and the implementation of joint humanitarian projects.
