Webinar on the Topic: “Innovative Methods of Work on Crime Prevention”

On March 3, 2025, the Department of National and International Law of the “Turan-Astana” University together with the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a webinar on the topic: Innovative Methods of Work on Crime Prevention”. The webinar was attended by students of the “Turan-Astana” University, as well as students and representatives of: Kazakh-American Free University (Ust-Kamenogorsk), Alikhan Bokeikhan University (Semey), Miras University (Shymkent), Kostanay branch of Chelyabinsk State University, “Ust-Kamenogorsk College No. 1”, the Committee of the Penal Correction System for East Kazakhstan region “Institution No. 22” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From KAFU, the senior lecturer of the Department of Law and International Relations Saveliy A. Muzhchil and 3rd year students of the EP “Law and Customs Activity” Nikita Bastanogov and Alina Myrzakan took part in this webinar.

The speakers were:

Artur A. Baimakhanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Special Legal Disciplines of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD, Justice Advisor;

Syrym A.Avgustkhan, Associate Professor of the Department of Special Legal Disciplines of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD, Justice Advisor;

Zhanat A. Syzdykov, 1st year Master’s student, Senior Investigator of the Pre-Trial Investigation Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major of the Anti-Corruption Service.

During the event, the latest methods of work on crime prevention were discussed; the speakers shared their scientific views on this issue, and also answered students’ questions.
