Winners of the Conference of Young Scientists in Astana

On April 11, 2025, Astana hosted the international scientific conference of students and postgraduates “Science and the New Generation – 2025”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the A.K. Kussainov Eurasian Humanitarian Institute.

Among the participants of the prestigious event were representatives of the Kazakh-American Free University – Aymaral Shalabayeva with a report “Emoji and Emoticons in Linguistic Communication: a Linguistic Tool of the New Era” and Dilyara Kogau with a study on the topic “Motives for Choosing Metaphors in Slang Phraseological Units of Youth”.

Following the conference, under the scientific supervision of the senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Nursulu K. Turgumbayeva, 2nd-year students of the EP “Journalism” achieved high results: Aymaral Shalabayeva was awarded a 2nd degree diploma, and Dilyara Kogau – a 3rd degree diploma.

The conference became a platform for young researchers striving for scientific research and professional growth. Participants were able to present their original ideas and exchange opinions, broaden their horizons, and establish valuable professional connections.

During the sectional meetings, the most pressing issues of modern science were discussed. Young scientists demonstrated a fresh look at scientific problems, presenting their analytical approaches and non-standard solutions. In each presentation, a deep interest in the topic, a serious level of preparation and a sincere desire for knowledge were felt. Intellectual discussions and an atmosphere of open dialogue gave the event special significance and inspired the participants to further scientific achievements.
