Workshop from an American Expert: How to Manage Time and Achieve Your Life Goals

From March 4 to 12, 2026, the Kazakh-American Free University will host Ross Lightsy, an expert in leadership and intercultural communications, as a distinguished guest.

Ross Lightsy is a graduate of Texas State University (BA in Psychology and Military History) and Webster University (MA in International Relations). With extensive experience as a senior field officer, Mr. Lightsy is a recognized expert in effective communication and building professional networks.

Today, as part of the international expert’s official visit to KAFU, a landmark training session was held for second-year students in various majors of the American program. The meeting, dedicated to mastering time management, career management, and life goals, generated keen interest and an enthusiastic response from the audience.

During the interactive session, participants explored modern time management strategies that allow them to effectively prioritize their academic and personal lives to achieve maximum balance. Particular attention was paid to career planning, where Ross Lightsy shared methods for transforming ambitious dreams into concrete and achievable professional goals.

Drawing on his unique background, the expert demonstrated how leadership skills, military experience, and international competencies form the foundation for successful development in a civilian career. The meeting also served as a platform for in-depth intercultural dialogue, during which students were able to apply professional interaction and communication skills in practice.

Ross Lightsy’s visit to KAFU will last until March 12, and the program promises to be rich. This is an excellent opportunity for students not only to reinforce theoretical knowledge but also to see how academic knowledge is transformed into real-world management tools and success.
