XIV International Summer School of Political Scientists

The XIV International Summer School of Political Scientists “The Role of Public Administration Institutions and Civil Society of Kazakhstan in the Formation of a Legal and Democratic State” was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Senior Lecturer of the Department of Law and International Relations Saveliy A. Muzhchil took part in the school.

The International Summer School of Political Scientists is an annual event that discusses political transformations in post-Soviet countries. The goal of the school is to develop political education in Kazakhstan, improve the qualifications of teachers of political science and social and humanitarian disciplines, and strengthen the expert significance of domestic political science.

A rich program of lectures, round tables, and seminars on current topics in political science was prepared for the participants. Leading Kazakhstani and foreign scientists and experts spoke to the audience: President of the Brazilian Association of Political Studies (ABCP), Professor of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) Bruno Pinheiro Vanderlei Reis; Head of the Results Achievement Office of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziza Umarova; independent researcher, President of the International Community for the Development and Progress of Georgia Zurab Bezhanishvili; Professor of the Department of Political Theory of MGIMO MFA of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Political Sciences Kirill Koktysh and others.

As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Board – First Vice-Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Law Erkin Duisenov, the Summer School creates opportunities for interdisciplinary analysis, exchange of international experience and development of innovative solutions, becomes a space for the formation of a new generation of responsible leaders, researchers and experts capable of influencing the future of their country.
