27th Graduation Ceremony was Held at KAFU
On June 30, 2025, the 27th graduation ceremony for graduates of the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. Diplomas were awarded to 1,100 graduates – young specialists who successfully completed their studies in the Kazakh and American programs at KAFU.
The honorary guest of the graduation ceremony was the deputy akim of the region, Yerbol Zh. Nurgaliyev, who congratulated the graduates, noted the importance of KAFU as a university of international partnership for the development of the region.
The graduation ceremony brought together teachers, parents, students, and partners of the university. The President of KAFU, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerezhep Mambetkaziyev, foreign teachers Ronald and Jeanine Wiley, First Vice President of KAFU Zhassulan Baikenov, and the faculty addressed the graduates with kind words. Each of the speakers noted the high level of training of students and their readiness for professional activity in various fields – from education and jurisprudence to business and international relations.
This academic year, KAFU celebrated its 30th anniversary. Over three decades, the university has become a recognized leader in private education and the first university of international partnership in Kazakhstan. Its graduates become highly qualified specialists, in demand both in the country and abroad. The graduates of the anniversary year are proud of their involvement in the history of the university, its traditions, achievements, and contribution to the development of education. They bring the values of their alma mater to the world – the desire for knowledge, professionalism, and openness to cooperation.
Senior Lecturer of the Military Department of the D. Serikbaev East Kazakhstan Technical University, reserve lieutenant colonel Sanat M. Karazhigitov, congratulated the KAFU graduates who completed their studies in the military department and were awarded the rank of reserve lieutenant.
Diplomas were awarded to graduates of the departments of Business, Law, and International Relations, Pedagogy and Psychology, Foreign Languages, as well as graduates of the American program who completed training in English with the possibility of academic mobility and international internships.
Particularly noteworthy is the first graduating class of master’s degree students who completed training in the double degree program of the master’s degree “Management with Computer Science”, jointly with the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Zwickau, Germany).
