Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Lecture by Stefan Noack
On April 7, 2026, as part of the XVI International Forum of Young Scientists “Modern Scientific Directions: From Applied Research to Innovation” at the Kazakhstan-American Free University, Stefan Noack from the Zwickau University of Applied Sciences delivered a lecture on the application of artificial intelligence in higher education. The Master of Arts from Germany shared practical experience in integrating neural networks into the learning process and explained how modern technologies are transforming the lives of students and educators.
The main part of the lecture focused on how AI is becoming a full-fledged assistant in education, helping to analyze scientific literature more efficiently and structure complex data. The speaker emphasized that in European universities the focus is shifting from simple knowledge accumulation to the development of critical thinking, as any information can now be accessed within seconds. Particular attention was paid to academic integrity: Stefan explained where the line lies between acceptable use of technology and violation of academic rules. In his view, the goal of modern education is not to prohibit progress, but to teach students how to effectively and responsibly use the capabilities of algorithms for their future careers. The lecture concluded with a discussion on how the role of the teacher is evolving—from a simple source of information into a mentor and guide in the world of digital tools.
