Book Discussion as Part of the “Reading Nation” Project

On October 2, 2026, the Kazakhstan-American Free University held a lecture and discussion entitled “Reading Nation: Reading as a Tool for Education and Professional Development” for students enrolled in the 6B04102 “Management” and 6B04104 “Finance” educational programs.

Organized as part of the national “Кітап оқитын ұлт” (“Reading Nation”) project, the event focused on the book Әділетті қоғамға шыншыл сөз by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The discussion was led by Eldar Erkynuly Mubarakov, Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Business. Participants explored the key ideas presented in the book and discussed the role of reading in broadening horizons, developing critical thinking, and supporting personal and professional growth.

The event helped foster young people’s interest in reading and encouraged open dialogue on current social issues.
