Collaboration that Opens Up Opportunities: KAFU’s Contribution to the Development of School Education

Collaboration that truly expands educational horizons is always reflected in concrete results—student achievements and recognition of the teachers’ professionalism.
Elena V. Shikhotova, Director of the Linguistic Center at the Kazakh-American Free University, successfully implements an elective German language course at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Ust-Kamenogorsk. During the course, students gain in-depth knowledge of the language, develop communication skills, and prepare for participation in intellectual competitions.
Practical proof of the effectiveness of the training is provided by the students’ results: participation and prizes in national German language Olympiads, increased academic motivation, and self-confidence.
Elena V. Shikhotova’s high level of teaching has received official recognition—her contribution has been recognized with a letter of thanks from the Director of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Such examples of collaboration demonstrate how integrating university potential into school education contributes to the development of talented young people and the formation of competitive specialists.
