Faculty and Students of the Department of Law and International Relations Participate in a Training on Constitutional Proceedings
On May 28–29, 2026, a training on “The Supremacy of the Constitution and the Development of the Amicus Curiae Institution in Constitutional Proceedings” was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The event was organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Kazakhstan and in partnership with the Public Association “Legal Center for Women’s Initiatives ‘Sana Sezim’.”
The training was attended by faculty and students of the Department of Law and International Relations. During the event, representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and leading domestic and international experts discussed current issues of ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution, practical mechanisms for appealing to the Constitutional Court, and the role and importance of the Amicus Curiae institution in modern constitutional proceedings. Particular attention was paid to the exchange of professional experience, discussion of current legal issues, and the development of interaction between representatives of the academic community and experts in constitutional law. The interactive format of the training facilitated meaningful dialogue, active discussions, and the exchange of opinions on key issues of constitutional justice.
