Formation of mediative competencies

Within the framework of the US Embassy Small Grants Project “Creating School Mediation Services as A Way to Prevent Conflicts and Form a Culture Of Tolerant Behavior”, over the course of a month, groups of students, teachers, school psychologists, class teachers, school principals in East Kazakhstan districts form competencies related to the prevention of conflict situations in educational environment.

As a reminder, on January 23, 2023, with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Daniel Rosenblum, a mediation study room was opened at KAFU, where classes are held not only for students from the East Kazakhstan region, but also for university students.

Practicing psychologists Fedorova I.A. and Katanova E.T. consider in detail the concept, structure, conditions, subject, causes of the conflict, the actions of the participants in conflict situations, the outcome of the conflict.

Professional mediators Kalenova A.A., Nurmukhambetova K. teach students to resolve conflicts within the framework of the legal field that arise in the educational environment.

Project leaders Gavrilova Yu.A. and Tazhiyeva M.N. are confident that the project’s issues are very relevant and will be in demand for the population not only of Ust-Kamenogorsk and the East Kazakhstan region, but of the whole of Kazakhstan.
