Guest Lecture by Professor Kai Nobach: Applied Financial Analysis and Performance Evaluation

“Not being the best means not being good enough.” This quote opened the guest lecture by Professor Kai Nobach (Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c.) from the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg, Germany.

The lecture took place on September 28, 2026, in the assembly hall of the Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU) as part of the International Scientific Congress “The Future of Science and Education: International Experience, Innovation, and Leadership.” Students from the KAFU Department of Business attended the session.

The lecture focused on “Applied Financial Analysis and Performance Evaluation.” Conducted in an interactive format, it combined theoretical concepts with practical examples. During the session, students actively participated in discussions and examined various approaches to analyzing financial indicators.

The theoretical portion of the lecture utilized examples from major international companies. This allowed students to see how financial analysis and performance evaluation tools are applied in practice by renowned companies such as Adidas and Puma, as well as to better understand the link between financial metrics and management decisions.

The event provided students from the Department of Business with an opportunity to expand their professional knowledge, gain insight into international academic practices, and explore financial analysis through real-world business cases.
