Guest Lecture of an American Ecologist at KAFU: How Climate Affects Health
On April 17, 2025, a guest lecture on the topic “The Climate is Changing: What are the Implications for Our Health” was held at the Kazakh-American Free University. The speaker was Randall Bruins, an expert in the field of environmental protection and public health from the USA. The lecture was held in the assembly hall of the university and gathered students of grades 9-11 from schools and colleges of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. During the event, key aspects of climate change and its impact on people’s health were discussed, as well as global and regional environmental challenges. The format of the event included both the main informational part and the block of “questions and answers”, which allowed the participants to ask their questions directly to the specialist. The organizers of the lecture emphasized the importance of such meetings for environmental education of youth and the formation of a responsible attitude to issues of sustainable development.
