Informational Meeting on Military Department Training Held at KAFU

On September 22, 2026, the Kazakhstan-American Free University hosted an information meeting between students and representatives of the Military Department of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.

The meeting was conducted by E. S. Kaliakperov, Deputy Head of the Military Department and Head of the Academic Unit, Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve, and B. S. Salemzhanov, Senior Lecturer at the Military Department, Lieutenant Colonel.

The representatives of the Military Department informed KAFU students about the conditions for studying under the reserve officer and reserve sergeant training programs, the application procedure, and the competitive selection process.

Students who have graduated from college may apply under the following conditions:

• first-year students enrolled in three-year programs may apply for the reserve officer and reserve sergeant training programs;
• first-year students enrolled in two-year programs may apply for the reserve sergeant training program.

For students who entered the university after completing Grade 11, the following conditions apply:

• Reserve officer training program — available to first-year students enrolled in four- and five-year programs, as well as second-year students enrolled in five-year programs;
• Reserve sergeant training program — available to first-year students enrolled in three-year programs; first- and second-year students enrolled in four-year programs; and first-, second-, and third-year students enrolled in five-year programs.

To participate in the competitive selection process, applicants must submit:

1. An application form.
2. An identity card — original and copy.
3. A printed screenshot from the applicant’s eGov personal account showing residential registration and military registration information.
4. Four photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm.
5. A certificate confirming the presence or absence of a criminal record.
6. A certificate confirming current enrollment, indicating the faculty and educational program. The certificate with a QR code must be valid at the time of submission.
7. Two document folders.

Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2026. The start of the enrollment process is scheduled for October 19, 2026.
