International Leadership Academy 2026 Participants Visit the “Mother’s Home” Resource Center

On May 29, 2026, as part of the International Leadership Academy 2026 program, participants from Kazakhstan, the United States, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, and the Philippines visited the “Mother’s Home” Resource Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The visit was included in the Academy’s educational program, which aims to introduce participants to social initiatives and organizations that provide meaningful support to people facing difficult life circumstances.

During the visit, the center’s staff presented their work focused on assisting women and young mothers experiencing crisis situations. Participants learned about temporary housing programs, psychological and legal support services, employment assistance, and social adaptation initiatives.

Particular attention was given to the prevention of social orphanhood and the preservation of family unity. Representatives of the “Mother’s Home” shared inspiring stories of women who were able to overcome significant challenges and begin a new chapter in their lives thanks to timely support and guidance.

For the Academy participants, the visit served as an important example of social leadership in action. Future leaders discussed the role of non-governmental organizations in addressing social issues, the importance of empathy and responsibility, and the potential for cooperation between government institutions, businesses, and the non-profit sector for the benefit of society.

The visit to the resource center not only introduced participants to a successful social support initiative but also encouraged them to reflect more deeply on one of the Academy’s key themes — leadership through service to others and creating positive change in society.
