International Scientific and Practical Conference at Turan-Astana University

On April 29–30, 2026, Turan-Astana University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “AI Transformation: The Journey of Innovation from the University Lab to the Market.” The conference was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s first cosmonaut, People’s Hero Toktar O. Aubakirov.

The goal of the conference was to unite the efforts of scientists, developers, business representatives, and government agencies to find effective mechanisms for commercializing developments in the field of artificial intelligence, building on the legacy of pioneers and best global practices.

Saveliy A. Muzhchil, Head of the KAFU Legal Clinic, participated in the conference in person. Adelina Giterman, a first-year student in the Jurisprudence program at our university, presented an online presentation as part of the section “Legal Sovereignty in the AI ​​Era: National Strategies and International Standards.” The topic of her presentation was “Legal Support for Business in the Age of Digital Transformation” (supervised by S. A. Muzhchil).
