International Scientific Cooperation: KAFU and MSPU
On October 26-27, 2022, teachers of the Kazakh-American Free University took part in the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference (XXVII All-Russian) “Tutoring in an Open Educational Space: the Tutor in Modern Education.”
KAFU presented reports in the section “Tutoring in Ethnopedagogics and Ethnopedagogical Practices” from KAFU by Daniel Ballast, Vice-President for International Programs and Cooperation, Yulia Gavrilova, Ph.D. in Law, Vice-Rector for Research and Development of Postgraduate Education, Asem Nurlanova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Zarina Chunkurova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Irina Fedorova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The following questions were discussed at the conference: How is the construction and development of education in the anthropopractical paradigm changing? What is the content and specificity of tutoring in modern education? What are the mission, role and place of a tutor in the modern education ecosystem? What is the fate, possible strategies and tactics for the development of tutoring in modern Russia, in the world?
KAFU representatives also took part in the binary seminar “Formation and Development of a Tutor’s Position (Professional Development of a Tutor: a Self-Determining Tutor, a Becoming Tutor, a Creative Tutor”).
As a result of the conference, a collection of materials of the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference (XXVII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference) “Tutoring in an Open Educational Space: the Tutor in Modern Education” was published, which included articles by KAFU teachers.
