KAFU Activists Meet 96-Year-Old Home Front Worker

As part of the “Ardagerlerdi Ardaqtayyq” (“Honoring Veterans”) project, KAFU activists visited Nurgatiya Tokezhanova, a 96-year-old home front worker and recipient of the “Altyn Alka” (Golden Pendant) award.
Nurgatiya is a mother of ten children, a grandmother of seventeen grandchildren, and a great-grandmother of nineteen great-grandchildren. Her life has been defined by hard work, devotion to her family, and a wealth of life experience.
During the visit, the KAFU activists spoke with her about her life and working years, listened to her recollections, and received her warm blessing. As a gesture of respect and care, the guests presented her with a basket of fruit and berries.
Such meetings offer an opportunity not only to show respect for the older generation but also to hear their stories firsthand, learn more about the past, and feel the connection between generations.
For the KAFU activists, this serves as a reminder that respect for the elderly begins with simple acts: finding the time to visit, listening, and sharing a little warmth.
