KAFU and MCPU Discuss the Future of Tutoring

On October 18–19, 2023, the Moscow City Pedagogical University, KAFU’s partner university, held the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Tutoring in the Open Educational Space. Tutoring as a Special Mentoring.”

The faculty members of the Kazakh-American Free University took an active part in the scientific event.

KAFU Vice-President Daniel Ballast made a plenary report at the conference, sharing his experience of mentoring in Kazakhstan, the USA and the Philippines.

The Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychoology Irina A. Fedorova held a pedagogical workshop “Creating a Family, A Gender Approach: What You Need to Know and How a Tutor Can Be Useful?” .

Yulia A. Gavrilova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work at KAFU, and Asem N. Nurlanova, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, presented their reports at the section “Mentoring, Tutoring in the Ethnocultural Educational Space.”

The international conference was an important event for participants, as it provided an opportunity to discuss new ideas, approaches and technologies that can improve the efficiency and quality of education.
